Today, a small village Kaiyal has turned in to a holy place of pilgrimage. Each Poonam (the full moon day), thousands of followers visit this temple to pray and get blessed from across the state and the country. In the mega celebration of Paatotsav which is held on Sharad Poornima (Aasovad Poonam), about 8000 people visit here and engage themselves in to prayer songs and take Prasad. All these could happen just because of the blessings of Om Bhagwati Shree Meldi Mataji and noble deeds melted with the true faith of hon. Raman Maadi. Hon. Raman Maadi has converted this small village in to a popular place of pilgrimage.

Front liner family among Rohit community, the family of late Shree Gaganbhai Ramjibhai and Gangaba lived here in this small Kaiyal Village. Despite of poverty, service to the society was in their blood. The family worked hard in the farms and tried to earn mundane needs. In this situation even, if some saint would visit the village, their main aim of life was to serve him as much as possible. They engaged themselves in serving the needy ones.

In such simple, helpful, spiritual and cultured family, hon. Raman Maadi took birth. Apart from three sisters namely Shanta Bahen, Reva Bahen and Kamla Bahen, there were two brothers, Girishbhai and Amrutbhai. He was born on the auspicious day of 1st June 1963. Siblings also carried the family legacy of social and spiritual service. Hon. Raman Maadi held the activity of helping the needy people of the society since he was a young child.

Before many years, when he used to live at his elder brother’s place in Naranpura, Ahmedabad, there was an entertainment program organised there. Many people from neighbourhood localities visited the place to see a man riding a bicycle for continuous 72 hours. Hon. Raman Maadi was there with two daughters of elder brother. While they were enjoying the show, one old lady came and told him to keep her shawl with him for some time. She said she is going to the temple nearby and while coming back she will take it back. Even after 4 hours, that old lady didn’t turn back. Hon. Raman Maadi returned to his home with that shawl. Next day, Hon. Raman Maadi had a dream where Om Bhagwati Shree Meldi Mataji told him with warmth, “Dear son, I have given you this shawl yesterday to you as my holy gift. Keep it with you, it will enlighten you and enable you to help the poorest people of the society. This is not just the piece of fabric, it is my love and blessings to you!”

Since that day, Hon. Raman Maadi dedicated his life to the service of the needy people of the society. Today also, at Kaiyal, people come with their problems and go back a smile on their face. This process of spreading peace and happiness is continuously going on!
